Product Description

Preservative Eco is a versatile, broad-spectrum preservative designed for makers who want reliable product protection while keeping an eco-responsible ingredient profile. Formulated with benzyl alcohol, salicylic acid, glycerin (palm-free), and sorbic acid, this preservative is suitable for natural cosmetics including skincare, haircare and toiletries.

Its low odour profile makes it a great option for products with subtle fragrance requirements and for sensitive formulations. Works across a wide pH range and is easy to add during the cool-down phase.

How to Use

Use at 1% (up to 1.1% if using infusions or herbal waters)
Maximum permitted level 1.15%
Effective pH range: 3 – 8
Add during cool-down stage below 40°C
Best mixed into glycerin before adding
Water-soluble

Compatible with: creams, lotions, scrubs, gels, conditioners, shampoos, washes, serums and similar products.

Not recommended for: formulations containing clays.
